We want to earn your trust and enhance your shopping experience with us and
make it as safe as possible, therefore, all of our methods of payment
automatically encrypt your confidential information in transit from your
computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL). This is an
encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).
Before you even register or log into our site, our server checks that you're
using an approved browser - one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher.
What
is SSL?
When a customer
places an order, the information is scrambled with a unique key. Only the receiving
party has the unique key to "see" the information. A third party intercepting the information would have to find the right key - a
nearly impossible task. With 128-bit encryption, there are 300 billion trillion
times as many keys as with 40-bit encryption. It is virtually impossible for an
unauthorized party to find the right key, even if they are equipped with the
best computers.
This encryption is performed with SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) as a set of rules
followed by computers connected to the Internet. These rules include
encryption, which guards against eavesdropping; data integrity, which assures
that your communications aren't tampered with during transmission; and
authentication, which verifies that the party actually receiving your
communication is who it claims to be.
The the lock "icon" will appear in your browser bar once you have
clicked the "Check Out" button. You will see this icon in the upper left hand corner of the site, Secured Connection is right next to the icon.
Our
servers sit behind the most sophisticated electronic firewall ensuring your
private information is available only to authorized computers.
